Creative Cloud Progress Wheel Spins Continuously

I often have similar delays. Once you get rid of this one you will be pleased to know that you will likely run into others. My favorite is "Word is repaginating ..." my 1,500 page document every couple of minutes...

Try File tab / Word Options option / Proofing option / you have lots of proofing options you can disable here to speed it up. Take your pick.

Try starting Word and Outlook in safe and verify if the issue persists. The steps below will help you open Word and Outlook in safe.

1) Click Start > All Programs > Accessories > Run

2) Copy/Paste the content below (one at a time) and press Enter:

a. WinWord /safe

b. Outlook /safe

If you're able to work with the applications, then follow the steps below to disable add-ins.

1) Click File menu, click Options > Add-in, click Go button in the Manage: Com-in Add.

2) Check if there is any add-in, clear the checkbox to disable it.

I cleared all checked add-in's and the cursor behavior remains the same.

Do you mean that Word and Outlook worked fine in safe?

You may try restarting the computer in clean boot to check if any non-Microsoft service is interfering with these Office applications.

Note: Ensure to restart the computer in normal mode after troubleshooting.

Running Win7 and Office 2010 Word.  I noticed this problem only occcured when I changed the default printer from Xerox to Toshiba 5150.   Cursor was fine with Xerox.  Never stops spinnig whenever Toxhiba 5150 is selected as default.  I downloaded the latest Toshiba drivers for Win7.  No Help.  Now, I just don't select Toshiba as my default printer. Instead I select the xps printer as my default, and re-select the Toshiba only when I'm ready to print.  This may not be a solution, but it works for me as a work-around. (word 2010 and XP Pro - this problem does not occur)
